When It Rains It Pours....

I am not sure why there is a "black cloud" over me and my family lately but I am HOPING the SUNSHINE today has lifted it away because this morning was the worst start to a new week.

This morning as I was about to get to work  and I got in a car accident-not fun. Now my car is at the auto body and I am driving a rental that looks like a red Easter egg-but Andrew thinks it looks pretty cool! I am ready to move forward and have only HAPPY things take place from now on!!!

My day looked like this once I got home-calling insurance agencies a trying to begin
the claim process....more to come of this for sure in the next few days but the sooner it is all
figured out the better!

The SUN- I LOVE THE SUN and see it is pushing the black cloud away!!!

I have a fun project planned with this stuff and some book pages!

Hoping to squeeze in some nail painting and magazine reading with a good cup of
coffee later tonight!

And probably some crocheting (since it relaxes me) while watching the
new season of The Voice with Kev.

I hope everyone else had a better Monday then I did.
I am looking forward to waking up tomorrow with a fresh start and a "pep in my step"!!

One Crazy Week

Well this week has been an uphill battle and I am so looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend. This week both Andrew and Kev were sick.  My kitchen counter looked like a pharmacy for days and still does.  Andrew rebounded fast but we had a health scare for my #1 love and it lead us to the Urgent Care one night and the Emergency Room the next day.  My hubby and I have been together since 1996-he is "my person" and I can not imagine having him in my life...he is feeling better but he has some "preventative measures" he has to complete with our family doctor.  Here are some pics from our crazy week.

My kitchen counter---cannot wait to put all this away!!

Finding a note taped to our door-realizing that even when we are not with
Andrew he is still thinking of us!

Some more crafting..hello fun magnetic clothespins!

Sneaking a peek at Kev after he got home from the hospital finding a bit of
comfort in his hammock.

Visiting my week old niece!!

Love her name!!

Ending the crazy week with an awesome sunset at my sister-in-laws!
She truly has amazing views!

Finally watching "the boys" go on a gator ride and just enjoying each other's company.

Happy Weekend Friends...We are looking forward to a friend's birthday party and a Baptism!

Exploring......

Another night of the hubby not feeling well so peanut and I hit the "great outdoors" and went for a nature hike around the yard.   Miss my hubby--hoping he feels better tomorrow.

I was given one rule and it was, "you have to follow me mom!"

Such a country boy!

I wonder what he was checking out!?

We checked on the pumpkins....poor things are never going to get big enough for Halloween.

I am DETERMINED next year to ROCK A PUMPKIN PATCH-even if I have to
use Miracle Grow!

All of a sudden we came across Zuchinni!

Then I had the bright idea of climbing a tree, really it was a dumb idea and way to high for me!

We ended the night with sidewalk chalk-love our family portrait!

I cannot resist sidewalk chalk either there is just something about it and it looks like Zuchinni found a nice spot to relax too!

It's 9 o'clock at night and my house is dark and quiet because both my peanut and hubby are in bed not feeling well.  Why is that back-to-school time brings sickness too?  So maybe some pics to lighten the mood!

Our skies were not this bright today...maybe tomorrow!?

This kid truly has made me a better person!

First Day of Kindergarten---I was a total mess but he couldn't
be more excited!

New magazines greeting me in the mail!

Fabric waiting to be used to make flowers & wreaths!

You just never know where  you will find Angry Birds around here!

Yes, I bought Christmas ornaments---but to my defense I needed them
to make some Christmas wreaths!

Got to love a husband that builds you a wreath stand! Thanks K!

Crafting Day With The Girls....

Just a few weeks ago before I headed back to work for a new school year a few of my favorite gals (my sister, my sister-in-law, and my closest friend) and I got together at my house to craft away!! We are all lovers of Pinterest and "pin-pin-pin" so I thought why not actually make some of the crafts we pin! We had a nice afternoon just being able to create, eat, chat, and spend time with one another something we don't get to do enough of with our daily schedules.  I hope we get to share another afternoon of crafting sometime soon!

Getting Ready...

My poor dining room has been a total disaster zone getting ready for my first Craft Fair in November.  Thankfully my hubby is supportive and looks past the mess....because beauty comes from a mess right!? At least it is a HAPPY mess!!  It was like Christmas morning today hitting all the local craft stores with my mom and gathering tons of materials that I get to turn into "pure homemade goodness" I am excited to be attending my first Craft Fair but at the same time a bit nervous...I feel like the "new kid on the block!".

Has anyone out there attended a Craft Fair that has good advice-or bits of knowledge to pass along?  I would love to hear from you!  Until then here are some snapshots of the disaster zone a.k.a. my dining room/craft studio!!!!
