A tutorial on how to add an Instagram feed to your blog. It's super easy!

http://takingtimetocreate.blogspot.com

I want to check this blog out over the weekend.
I got an IPhone and am still figuring out
how to use everything.
It would be fun to add Instagram to the blog.

This next picture is pure happiness and inspiration all
rolled into 1!!

I want to pick a small wall in my house and make a fabric hoop art wall.
I have been eyeing them up for awhile and it would just
add a fun splash of color to my house.
I think I will be going through all my scarp
fabric pieces this weekend.

This weekend we have no major plans...
we are keeping it low key and simple.
I am looking forward to a nice dinner tonight
with my two favorite guys and maybe we can
throw a trip to the book store in just for fun s
ometime this weekend!!?

Thanksgiving is Already Next Week....

It is hard to believe that next Thursday is already Thanksgiving.
Is it just me or is the month of Novemember flying by.
I like the simplicity of Thanksgiving.
Gathering with family over good food
and just being with one another.
It's not commercialized and it's just simple.
I like simple....I am not a fancy girl.
If you take me out to dinner chances are
I am going to order a burger and fries
 because that is just me!

With Thanksgiving though comes BLACK FRIDAY-whoo hooo!
I go out on Black Friday do you?
The past few years I have actaully gone out the night of
Thanksgiving. I was listening to the radio on my way to
work and they said a bunch of stores are opening up at 8pm and 9pm.
I am excited and plan on going out....but at the same time the
excitment of Black Friday seems to be fading since the stores
are opening up earlier.

Maybe it is too much?
What do you think?

Have we created a monster demanding good deals?

What are you thankful for?

I am thankful for.....
my amazing hubby-he is my rock my one and only
my son
my family
having a job to go to each day to put food on my table and pay the bills
books
coffee
my home-I love my home and whom I share it with
success at my first craft show
friends
laying next to my hubby at night and knowing there is no other place I would rather be
watching my son sleep

I think I could keep listing things butI will stop myself!!

I hope everyone had a good day.

Monday Monday

Today was a good day spent with my little man.
Get this.....I had today off of work ( I am a teacher)...
so it never occurred to me to check my son's school
calendar....it never crossed my mind and I have it
front and center by my computer.

Long story short he
DID HAVE SCHOOL TODAY
and I totally dropped the ball!!

We went on a date today-and on our way we
passed our local elementary school-there were
cars in the parking lot and I was like "what!!!??"
so I quickly called me son's school and had a
good laugh with the secretary....
moments like this you realize you are not
perfect and we all make honest mistakes.

So feeling like a horrible mommy I proceeded to still
take him on the date I promised and off to JoAnn Fabrics,
The Dollar Tree and the movies to see Wreck-It Ralph!
We made the most of our day together and I am glad
he was with me.....did I have the "guilty mom complex"
all afternoon-YES especially when we were in JoAnn Fabrics
and he told a few ladies...."do you know I had school today
but my mommy forgot!" gotta love their innocence!

My son's school calendar--to the left!
God did I feel silly today!
Oh well I got to spend the day
with Andrew all by myself and we
had a good time!
No mistakes

Tonight Andrew busily worked on necklaces for a few people
that we bought at JoAnn's.
Look at the concentration on his face---love it!
He is already wearing his and asked if we can pick a few more up.
I love that he thinks about other people and
wants to make them things!!

Today while we were out I bought a new coffee cup-yes another one!
I couldn't pass it up since Andrew actually spotted it and
said I had to get it!!

Check this out.....new stuff already for the
next Craft Show---I have been busy!!

Well I hope everyone had a good Monday
I am off to bed to read!!

I LOVE WEEKENDS!!

It was a WONDERFUL weekend...
filled with family time and
our very first craft show!

Friday Kev helped me pack everything up--and
off we went on our new adventure!

And guess what I was updated
to a new IPhone-I have to check out Instagram!!

Saturday morning I could not get coffee in me fast enough.
I actually stood at the counter waiting for it to brew...
then when it was ready I almost poured it into
the sugar bowl---but I did not and
I was able to enjoy one cup of coffee
before I headed to the craft show!!

I like all three of these bags/containers!!
They all came with me to the show on
Saturday morning alongside a huge
travel mug of coffee!

Highlight...being asked to participate
in an upcoming show!!! YAY for HOMESPUN!!

The morning after the show was Sunday and it
took me a while to re-cooperate.
Andrew was content building towers
for the SMURFS!

And building a fort for himself!
He is such a good boy.

Then I found Zuchinni (our barn cat) taking
a peek inside!! I wonder what
he was thinking?

It was family craft time over breakfast on Sunday.
Andrew had a school project that needed completed.
He had to disguise a turkey....so to no surprise he
wanted to disguise it as Super Mario!

He was proud of his turkey and the mustache he added!

If I could have joined Pez on the couch all day
catching some z's in the sun I would have!

Took a look at all my yarn waiting to be turned into scarves!!
Fun evening projects this week for sure.

We also had to take Andrew to get a pair
of wrestling shoes.  My little man is growing up...makes me sad.
He has joined Rec Wrestling-following in his
daddies footsteps!

My mom dropped off this sweet card.
She said she was proud of me and
my accomplishment at the Craft Show and
those few words mean the WORLD TO ME.

Finally....getting some work done while the
house is quiet. I have another craft show in less
then a month!

I hope everyone else had an enjoyable
weekend too! Tomorrow I have a date
with my little man-we are going to the movies and
I am looking forward to it!

Good Night!
Stephanie :)

Craft Show Recap!!!!!

Before I begin I want to thank a few special people:

Thank You Mom, Mom T and Kevin!!
I was so lucky to have all of you in my corner
this past weekend and over the past few months
getting ready for this craft show.....I am
thankful that I got to share this special
time with each and everyone of you.
I am so grateful to have you guys and
I cannot say THANK YOU enough!!
-Steph-

This weekend was AMAZING
and the Craft Show was SPECTACULAR!!!

I am so humbled by all the fellow crafters I had the
privilege to meet this weekend.  This was my
very first craft show and the crafting community
embraced me with open arms! It was a breath
of fresh air to be around so many creative people
and to listen and talk to them about their
journey in the crafting circuit.
I gained so much valuable knowledge and helpful
tools over the past few that I will treasure.

HOMESPUN ROCKED @ the Craft Show!!
We did well and I am pleased that all
 the hard work paid off!!
I received so many nice comments from the
public about my products-it was humbling.

I put myself of out there and succeeded
and  I am so happy that I took
the leap of faith!

During the show I was even asked to participate
it another exhibit that is being put on by
my local park district!! The lady said
my book page Christmas trees would
be perfect for their show and I cannot wait!

Another tip from my customers is that
need to open at ETSY shop...
I will be setting one up very soon!

I took some pictures to share.....

Our table!!
It was funny I had people ask to purchase the garland
that I made for across the front of the table!!
I did not sell it.... but I did sell a scarf I made right off my neck!!

I learned that having a variety of items to look at
and choose from is KEY!!!

It is not pictured here but my most favorite wreath sold :(

Coffee Filter wreaths....so time consuming to make
but so rewarding when they are done.

Me and my hubby-the man behind the scenes that
helped me out so immensely that I could not
have done this without him!
Thank you Kevin Michael!!!

life

And this quote is fitting for this weekend....I am happy and
so blessed for the opportunity I had this weekend!
I am looking forward to my next craft show in December
and many more to follow!!

All the goodies are waiting to be taken away!!
My amazing hubby is helping me transport everything today-
and I couldn't do it without him!!

All week my dining room has looked like this it
is hard to believe that in 2 short hours it
will all be cleared out.

My poor dining room table--
she has been put to good use!

Last minute items that I got ready today

I might have to keep one here!!

It is time to load the cars.....I will post an update to

Reading and Coffee

I am the proud owner of Book Three in the
Nora Roberts Boonsboro Inn Trilogy
and I cannot wait to dive in and start reading it!!

The Perfect Hope: Book Three of the Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy (The Inn Trilogy) by Nora Roberts, http://www.amazon.com/dp/0425246043/ref=cm_sw_r_pi_dp_0nxSpb02C65JY

Getting a new book makes me giddy!

!

I know I have talked about this before but there is just something
about reading and the joy it brings!
I am a book worm and I am ok with that!

We read to our son every night and I HOPE to instill
the love of reading in him as well.

And....call me old fashioned but I don't like to read on the
IPAD or tablets I like to actually have a book in my hands
so I can pass the book along to others....

If you let me loose in a book store you
might not find me for awhile.
My husband laughs because it
is one of my favorite places to go!

And.... you know what goes good with a book...a good cup of coffee!!!

.

You guys know I LOVE MY COFFEE!

What is your favorite coffee!?

I LOVE Dunkin Donuts coffee...
it is my favorite by far!!!!

What good books are you currently reading!?
