Peach Picking.

This past Sunday Kev, Andrew, and I went to a local

farm and picked peaches!  We try and pick peaches at this

local farm each year and it is a blast.  The owners are so friendly and

even permit you to pick peaches and eat them while you are walking around...

I have to admit I think I did more "sampling" then actually picking this year!

 

 

 

If you live in the Chardon area or just want to take a ride out

to the country....I highly recommend this place....we cut our Christmas

tree down each year from this farm too...it is great and local!

Andrew also sampled A LOT of peaches!!

 







 

The peach trees were just LOADED with tons of fresh peaches waiting to be picked!

It was hard to select that perfect peach because they were all so good!





With all the peaches we brought home I need to find a recipe

and make something delicious. My mother-in-law whipped up

a great desert with them the other night..I think I may need another slice

of it tonight..lol!!

 

Andrew enjoyed climbing the peach trees.......

 

And he even was boosted up on Kev's shoulders to pick the BIG peaches at the very top of the trees!

Our Fourth Of July (A Bit Late ;) )

 

This is a bit late but late is better then never!

We had a low key relaxing Fourth of July spent at

my Uncle's boat this year. 

Kev and I usually have a big 4th of July cookout for both sides of our

 families but this year we could not add more to our plate....next year!!!

 

 

Andrew enjoyed several rides on the canoe with Kev and Joey.

I am lucky to have such a great hubby and an amazing cousin that is going

to make an awesome dad one day too!!



 

I took Andrew on a canoe ride with Kev too-who would have

thought is was so much work paddling!!!!!

 

It was nice spending time with our family and relaxing by the lake.

Andrew was a fishing machine....he fished for hours and caught a lot of channel catfish.

That night Kev made a nice fire and we all enjoyed Smore's!!

Gotta love a good campfire and Smore's in the summertime.

Andrew and Katie remind me of my cousin Kara and I...we would do everything together!

 



I have to say Kev makes a good campfire!!

 



 

Riley had to get in on all the action too!

 

And then we hit the high school for our annual viewing of fireworks with

Lynn and the kids!The past two years the fireworks have gotten rained

out BUT not this year!

Our Summer So Far.....

Well Summer is officially half way over....not sure how it happened but time seems to be flying.  It finally has warmed up in our neck of the woods and it has been in the 90's all week long. 

I LOVE this weather and am hoping to hit the beach on Monday

 to enjoy the sun and sand!

 

We are in the second week of business @ The Nest and it has been great!I have met so many wonderful people that have visited our shop and I look forward to meeting many more!

Now onto some pictures...I thought I would share some
snapshots of what we have been up to so far this summer!

 

 

A few weeks ago my cousin played in the Northeast Ohio All-Star Baseball Game and we went to cheer him on!
These two...mean the world to me...and seeing them together
enjoying each others company is picture perfect.



 

Andrew actually sat and watched most of the game...he was into it and now thinks my cousin Frankie is a major league baseball player!!

 



 

 This is my "little "cousin Frankie.....too bad he is off to Ohio State this year and is not so little anymore.  It is strange seeing your baby cousins turn into adults....I remember

when he was born....it made me feel old!!
Time really does fly.

Andrew also went to VBS at St. Mary's and absolutely loved it!



We have been hitting all the new movies that have
 been coming out! Gotta love $5.00 Movie Monday's!! 

 

 

And the store...has been taking up all of the rest of our time which is a great thing and accomplishment on our part.  It is
an amazing feeling to see other people love and purchase things you have created!! It is awesome to think that a little piece of myself is being spread around and people also share my passion of "feathering their nests!!"

 

 

Andrew has been coming with me to the store each day....he has been a great helper! I am thankful to my mom and mother-in-law who have been helping me out keeping an eye on him and looking after him throughout the week...they have been lifesavers.

TOMORROW-TOMORROW & THE NEST GIVEAWAY WINNER!

Well it is official my nerves are setting in.

I have been pretty easy going and calm (which is not like me, lol) about opening up The Nest but with the Grand Opening tomorrow it is starting to hit me like a ton of bricks...

Kev and I are now business owners in 

Chardon....crazy----why yes it is!!

But I can tell you this it 

IS THE BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD AND I KNOW IT IS WHAT I AM SUPPOSE TO BE DOING! 

I now understand how powerful it is to 

believe in yourself and follow your dreams 

and to live with no regrets.

Last week we had our Family and Friends Preview and it was perfection!

We were surrounded by so many of our loved ones and they shared our excitement

about the opening of The Nest.  

Andrew is our best spokesperson these days...

everywhere we go he tells complete strangers about the store!!I am happy that he is also excited about our new path!
